How to Play: Treasurer

The Murder Game

Fully Customised Murder Mysteries Parties

Treasurers are the bargain-hunters and deal-strikers of their faction. They have one simple objective: to maximise their faction's end-game Wealth.

Each player is granted a number of wealth tokens at the beginning of the game. Whilst players retain control over their own wealth, it is the Treasurer's job to guide their faction mates in making smart trades and managing their wealth wisely. If at the end of the game, the Treasurer's faction is collectively the wealthiest, they will receive a personal point bonus and catapult themselves ahead.

We recommend the Treasurer role for those looking to develop their resource management skillset and the ability to argue for a strategic direction within a team environment. The goals of the role is naturally contrary to the goals of the Strategist, requiring a degree of compromise. Failing to account to achieve this will pull the team apart and hinder their ability to win.

The Vault-Keeper

The Vault-Keeper takes a more cautious approach to wealth management, looking to retain what the team has and acquire wealth through only the liquidation of the teams assets. This pathway is certain to increase wealth, however puts the Treasurer at odds with the Strategist, who is trying to maximise the assets owned by the team.

The Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurial treasurers know that to make money in the market, you have to play the market. By cutting as many deals with other players as possible, each one tilted slightly in your favour, a good entrepreneur can amass a large hoarde of wealth over the game. However, this approach can prove high risk, especially when holding assets that could radically change in value. Think smart and immersive yourself in the world of the evening to win.
